At The Sustainable Homes, we are committed to providing excellent service to all our guests and tenants. To ensure transparency and fairness, we have outlined the following refund policy, which applies to both short-term (short let) and long-term rentals. Please carefully review the details below. By making a booking or entering into a rental agreement, you agree to abide by these terms.
1. Short-Term Rentals
Our short-term rental apartments are typically available for stays lasting less than one month. The following terms apply to any cancellations, modifications, or refunds for short-term bookings:
1.1. Booking Confirmation and Payment
Payment Requirement: A valid payment must be received in full at the time of booking. Only once payment has been processed will your booking be confirmed.
Payment Methods: We accept credit cards, debit cards, cash and bank transfers.
1.2. Cancellation and Refund Terms for Short-Term Rentals
Full Refund: If the cancellation request is received at least 7 days prior to the scheduled check-in date, a full refund will be issued minus any applicable processing fees.
50% Refund: If the cancellation request is received between 2 and 6 days before the scheduled check-in date, a 50% refund will be issued, minus any applicable processing fees.
25% Refund: If the cancellation request is made within 48 hours or less before the scheduled check-in date, a 25% refund will be provided, and any other applicable processing fee will be forfeited.
1.3. Early Check-Out and Refunds
No Refund for Early Check-Out: If the guest checks out earlier than the originally booked date, no refund will be issued for the unused portion of the booking.
1.4. Special Circumstances and Exceptions
Medical Emergencies: A guest may request a partial refund or rescheduling of their stay if they are unable to stay due to a medical emergency. A valid medical certificate must be provided.
Travel Restrictions/Flight Cancellations: Full or partial refunds may be issued at our discretion for extraordinary circumstances like natural disasters or pandemics. Documentation may be required.
1.5. Changes to Reservations
Modification of Booking Dates: Changes are only possible if requested at least 48 hours before the original check-in date and if the new requested dates are available.
Change Fees: Changes to the reservation may be subject to an administrative fee. Any modifications to the reservation may incur administrative fees, which may be deducted from the security deposit if applicable
1.6. Rent Adjustments and Refunds
Overpaid Rent: Refunds for overpayment will be processed within 14 working days of confirmation.
